Ehte is the Ambassador of Funk who founded the initiative. He’s also called Mr. Jewels sometimes. Well-versed in boogie, disco and exotic stuff with a funk attitude, he’s no slave to genre or equipment. Only thing he follows is his taste, that’s also expressed through the Estonian Funk Embassy show on Raadio 2. Since early ’10s he’s gotten chances to play festivals like Pori Jazz, Funky Elephant, Positivus and Intsikurmu; and clubs all around Baltics.

Robert Linna is a singer, songwriter, producer and a DJ. He’s well-versed in funk, soul and rock’n’roll. With around 10 albums under hist belt, you can say the man has put in some hours in the studio.

Jon Hazel has been one of the most popular keyboard players in Estonia since mid 10s. He’s well-versed in funk, neo-soul, pop & modern R’n’B. Over the past years we’ve seen him launch his solo career and feature as a vocalist and a topliner for some of the biggest names in these parts. Little known fact that he co-wrote the hit “Magus Melanhoolia” with Jüri Pootsmann. On his début solo single “Corner of My Eye” we saw Hazel collab with YASMYN and Gram-of-Fun on a hauntingly sexy slow burner. On the opposite side of the spetcrum is the progressive house track “Uplifted” produced by Jozels where Jon Hazel filled the vocal duties. The latter is out on Selected and has amassed over 2.5 million listens on streaming platforms.

Ivo “IPE” Leesar is a breath of fresh air in Estonia’s neo-soul-funk and pop scene with his main project Silky Steps. Its debut LP “Universal Language” was recorded and produced by him. He also produced top 10 radio chart present single “Electrical” for local r’n’b artist Rahel; co-written and performed “red lights” by Rainer Ild. IPE even has his self-titled solo project, which focuses more on dirty drums, guitars and Estonian language, having taste both in pop and psychedelia.

He was practically born with a camera in his hands. Ako is the youngest talent at the studio who’s nevertheless been documenting Estonian musicians for over 6 years. Whether it’s photos at a concert, shooting and editing music videos or being the videographer at a festival – he’s a natural. Part of it might be ’cause he’s also a passionate drummer and music lover, and knows where the action on stage is.
